Admissions Requirements
High school graduates and holders of General Education Diplomas (GEDs) are eligible for admission. Applicants that do not possess a high school diploma or GED are required to meet the Ability to Benefit (ATB) requirements for enrollment. No discrimination based on sex, age, religion, race, creed, color, or national/ethnic origin is practiced. We do not recruit students who already attend another school. Tomorrow’s Image Barber & Beauty Academy of Virginia reserves the right to refuse acceptance to anyone convicted of a violent offense as defined in Section 17.1-805(C) of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, or any substantially similar offense under the laws of any state in the District of Columbia, the United States, or its territories, and anyone who was found not guilty of such offenses by reason of insanity. Transfer hours from another institution that are accepted toward the student’s educational program are counted as both attempted and completed hours.
Applicants are required to meet with an Admissions Representative for a personal interview and tour of the Academy. The personal interview is used to assist in the evaluation of motivation, determination and skills for success possessed by each prospective student. It is also used to provide potential students with enrollment information and pertinent student responsibilities and performance expectations. All students must submit all academic documents including: a high school diploma, or high school transcript (sealed) and proof of age (i.e. driver’s license or birth certificate). After completing the admission procedures, final acceptance of applicants is made by the Academy’s Administrative Personnel. Once students are accepted, the Administrative Office Personnel then schedules Orientation with the student and completes the Enrollment Process.
